Mr Alonso de Alba Bessonnier
Information about the artist

Alonso de Alba Bessonnier is a follower of masters like Klee, Kandinsky, Kelly and Stella and a leader of today’s art into the next century. De Alba produces stunning modern art prints, mostly etchings, with emphasis on forms and colours and often with an inkless intaglio print (relief) as a very effective addition. Alonso de Alba is a Mexican artist, and he is born 1938 in Torreón.

Alonso de Alba works as a teacher of “Introduction to Graphic Arts” at Universidad Iberoamericana Torreón, México.

Education:
Alonso de Alba Bessonnier learnt different Arts techniques by the help of many teachers such as Leopoldo Morales Praxedis, Leonila González, Francisco Castro Leñero, Fernando Aceves, Marcela López, etc.

Sandro Bocola on modernism as an art trend:
“The visual or structural approach is based on aesthetic principles of order, by which individual appearance relates to one other and can be combined to create a pictorial whole. It seeks to master reality by grasping it as an aesthetic order.”

The prints of de Alba surely are good examples of the aesthetically well balanced modern print tradition.

Today Alonso de Alba also is a member of The Institute Of Culture Council of Torreón, and he is an active member of the “El Chanate” Engraving Atelier
